1st Day: Canada - Night on board

Ready to discover the spectacular cities and landscapes of Portugal? Arrive at your departure airport, ready to catch a flight to Lisbon*. Night on board.

2nd Day: Lisbon

Touchdown in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, ready for your family adventure! Transfer to the hotel* and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Why not explore the oldest parts of the city to admire the ornate architecture or simply enjoy the views of the River Tagus from one of the many riverside cafes. Overnight stay in Lisbon.

3rd Day: Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel. Today get ready to enjoy a guided tour through the city with your loved ones, including the main avenues and squares: Avenida da Liberdade, Marquês de Pombal, and Praça do Comércio.

Head towards the Belém area by the riverside and visit the church of the Monastery of Jerónimos, that holds the tomb of Vasco da Gama and Camões and admire the Tower of Belém from outside, one of the marks of Portuguese antient arquitecture. Then you’ll have free time to continue exploring and visit the famous pastry shop of Pastéis de Belém.

Enjoy free time after the tour to taste the famous pastry Pastéis de Belém, which the little ones will love! Overnight stay in Lisbon.

Half-Day Panoramic Tour of Lisbon: Even though you will be seated most of the time, you may be required to walk short distances or climb some steps.

Discover Avenida da Liberdade, Marquês de Pombal, the Praça do Comércio and the Belém area. Next, pass the Jerónimos Monastery (church entry only), the Vasco da Gama Bridge, and the incredible Belém Tower. Finally, we recommend trying the Pastéis de Belém.

4th Day: Lisbon - Albufeira

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you’ll travel to Albufeira (250 km aprox.), a city known for its golden beaches kissed by the Atlantic and its charming old town with vibrant streets, quaint shops and lively cafes.

Transfer to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the city at your own pace. Overnight stay in Albufeira.

This former fishing village has become a major holiday destination, with sandy beaches perfect for the kids, and plenty of bars and restaurants. 

5th Day: Albufeira

Breakfast at the hotel. Embark on an exciting boat tour to Benagil. This ocean adventure will lead you to the Caves of Benagil, an authentic masterpiece of nature. Hidden away, this gem is a must-see destination. Beyond being a mere collection of caves, it stands as a cathedral of Earth’s art, a place where the grandeur of nature harmonizes with the serenity of the ocean.

The Benagil caves, sculpted by nature’s own hands, boast intricate limestone formations. As sunlight filters through the domes of these caves, a magical atmosphere envelops you. Also, we recommend you to enjoy our optional half-day tour to Sagres*. Overnight stay in Albufeira.

*Optional half-day tour to Sagres ($): a perfect opportunity to explore the famous Cape of St. Vincent, one of Portugal's extreme coastal viewpoints. Associated with the beginning of the Age of Exploration in Portuguese history, this area was once home to Prince Henry the Navigator. Here you’ll visit the Fortress of Sagres and the cape, enjoying the stunning landscapes.

7th Day: Albufeira

Breakfast at the hotel. With another free day, you can head to the nearby beaches for a day of sun, sandcastle-building, and refreshing dips in the Atlantic. Also, we recommend you to join our optional visit to a cork factory*. Overnight stay in Albufeira.

*Optional visit to a cork factory ($): explore a facility where the most well-known product of the Portuguese industry is processed: cork. You’ll learn about the production methods immediately after the cork is harvested from the trees.

8th Day: Albufeira - Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer back to Lisbon (250 km aprox.), check-in at the hotel and enjoy free time to walk around your favorite spots in the city. We recommend our fun optional tuk-tuk ride*, an exciting way to see the main attractions of Lisbon, especially with kids. Overnight stay in Lisbon.

*Optional tuk-tuk ride through Lisbon ($): In one hour discover the main hills of the quarter of Alfama, the unique Lisbon historic site. Sit back and relax to admire the Portas do Sol, the Miradouro da Graça and the area of the Castle, as well as the front of the Cathedral and the church of St Antony.

9th Day: Lisbon

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is your last free day in Lisbon! Spend the day relaxing at the hotel, doing a spot of shopping, or why not round up the family and enjoy our optional visit to the Oceanário and cable car ride*. Overnight stay in Lisbon.

*Optional visit to the Oceanário and cable car ride ($): enjoy a world of aquatic wonders at Europe's largest indoor aquarium. Then, continue your adventure in the Telecabine Lisboa. This cable car allows you to admire one of the most emblematic areas of the city (Parque das Nações) and enjoy a panoramic view of the Tagus River and the south bank of Lisbon. There will be no guide in this activity.

10th Day: Lisbon - Canada

Breakfast* at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for your return flight back to Canada.
