The Best of Eldhestar – Fine Selection of Southwest Iceland - June 20th – 24th, 2026
On this tour, guests will enjoy the Valley of the Horses *Maradalur* - The Golden Highlights of the South. You will also experience the Reykjadalur Valley. We will also go around the volcano, and also enjoy “The Beach Ride”, we will also ride through Thingvellir National Park, a fascinating place on UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Inclusions of Journey:
Pick up/drop back in Reykjavik.
Riding times – 4 to 6 hours per day with stops.
4 days of riding – 100KM.
Hotel accommodation based on double occupancy at the Hotel Eldhestar (there is a hot tub).
Full board (3 meals a day).
Maximum group size is 12.
Reykjavik – June 24th – 26th, 2026
Fosshotel Baron: 2 nights based on double occupancy with breakfast.
Airport transfers – From the airport to the meeting spot, hotel back to the airport.

Deposits / Payments:
Airfare: Purchase the airfare when submitting the deposit; prices can change without notice. We are not holding any group space.
Horse Journey: $300 USD pp non-refundable deposit. Balance due May 1st, 2026.
Hotel and Transfer: Balance due May 1st, 2026 - Lou-anne is going to look for less expensive/decent accommodation that is centrally located to everything.
We are not holding any space / for the hotel. We only have 12 spots available (first come basis).
Important Information:
Icelandic horses are not vaccinated and are susceptible to infectious agents from abroad! Used riding clothes/boots should be washed in a washing machine or dry cleaned prior to entering the country. Clothes/boots and helmets that can not be placed in a washing machine or dry cleaned should be washed and disinfected. Importing of used riding equipment and riding gloves is strictly prohibited. They do provide helmets for us.
